Let Cerissa Rhodes guide you towards your goal of becoming a licensed therapist (LCSW, LCMHC).
Understanding Licensure Supervision
Supervision for LCSW/LCMHC candidates typically involves 1 hour per 30/40 hours worked, translating to approximately 1 hour per week for those in full-time positions. This structure is endorsed by both the NC Social Work Certification and Licensure Board and North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, ensuring it aligns with your path to licensure.
Individual Supervision Overview:
First Supervision Session: Your initial 90-120min session ($100.00 per hour) will focus on gathering background information, reviewing supervision paperwork, and discussing your goals as well as expectations. This session sets the foundation for our collaboration.
Weekly Supervision Sessions: After the initial session, individual sessions are scheduled weekly for 60min at a cost of $100.
What to Expect: In individual sessions, whether in-person or virtual, expect personalized guidance on clinical practice, ethical considerations, and professional development. These sessions are for you and can be personalized as needed.
Group Supervision Overview:
Interactive Case Presentations: Each session, supervisees take turns presenting a case. This provides an opportunity to receive feedback and insights from both the supervisor and fellow supervisees, offering diverse perspectives and approaches to clinical challenges.
Education on Pre-Identified Topics: Sessions include focused education on pre-identified topics relevant to clinical practice. These sessions deepen knowledge and skills in areas such as ethical dilemmas, evidence-based interventions, cultural competence, and more.
Scheduling & Cost: Group supervision is offered both virtually and in-person, once per month for 60-12min depending on the number of participants. The cost is $50/per hour per participant.
